Why there is so much fear within me
Why there is apprehension within me

The fire burns within me
The actions die within me

I can see me free and without fear
Who is that person so content and free?

Contemplating, organizing, doing and wanting
Reaching for what? For what and For whom and why?

In the rat race and can not stand it
In the motions of being pulled so different ways
I can not stand it

Knowing what’s important, yet not going for it
Being stopped in my tracks, yet not going for it
Wanting to know why? Who cares, yet not going for it
Knowing it will pay off, yet not going for it.

Pulling and pushing doing what’s best for all
I’ve been there now and for a while

Wondering what’s missing
Wondering what it will take

Courage is what’s missing
Being in action is what is what it takes

Stepping into the truth of my being
Stepping into a new way of being

Journey of life is full of ups and downs
Life makes sense when you “ Get Your Woman On”

Being a best seller as amazing as it is
Making a difference in the world is what would please

We were picked by Kimber, one by one
Her vision, her heart and courage made us one

We all came from different parts of the world
We grew and connected in so many different ways

This journey was a step up in my life
For me; my truth showed up

Get Your Woman on; Embracing beauty, grace and the power of women
Get Your Woman on; Embracing freedom, love and the heart of women

Women celebrating our essence and goals
Women celebrating our mission and souls

This poem is dedicated to all the women who are changing the world, one day at a time. Get Your Woman on.

As the tears running down my face
Words are pouring on my paper

Thoughts are going through my head
Won’t let me sleep tonight

Just want to let you know
How love and caring can steal the show

Yes, you may say that’s preposterous
Loving and caring such a normal concept?

No glamour or fame
How would they rise above the rest?

Have you loved and cared for him/her?
The ones who needed or asked for it?

What did you do when your mom asked for help?
Or the neighbor needed a hand?

Did you turn your back and complained?
Or did you rise to the task and lent a hand?

How did it feel when you loved and cared?
How did it feel when you turned around and left?

You see I believe that God gave us life for a reason
What is yours? What is mine? Care to reason?

Love is what it’s all about in my eyes
Love of God, children and family here and perhaps above

What will you leave behind after your time is up?
Will it say “lies here the one who had?
Taken care of business and made money, you asked?

Or will it say, he loved and cared
For that’s what he chose to bare

You choose those words today
Tomorrow may be too late

Love and care for the one who has a need
Tomorrow another will care for you when you have a need

We’re all here on the same journey together
Let us raise a hand and help one another

For the world will never change
If you and I never learn

To be one and though apart
We are all children of the same God.

The woods are calm and inviting
Tree branches looking down in waiting

Thoughts in my head pouring down on paper
Silence is what I hear all around me

Looking for peace and joy within me
Lots of thoughts going on within me

Life is amazing and full, this, I know
How to best live it, is what I’m searching for

Funny, living life and searching for it
Well, if I just give up being right, I will find it

What I’m trying to say with this poem
Is to live life to its fullest

With or without our stories, we will die
So why not live life one day at a time

Live it with faith and conviction
Live it with joy and wonder

Live it with love and persistence
Live it with passion and less resistance

Live it with forgiveness and pride
Live it with ….

Looking out the window through the blinds
The sun is setting down slowly behind the trees

Feeling tired but I’m centered
Wondering what is laid ahead

So much has happened since I last wrote
My words of “Live it” are now out of control

Life has been a roller coaster for all I know
We think we’ve got to fix it, but may be no

Does life need fixing? I’m not sure
What needs fixing is what we know

All we know is what’s in front of us
All we know is the reality for us

We are here for a short time
Scared, happy, worried, jazzed all the time

My experiences are what I see
My commitment is what’s behind me

Being committed to a life of joy
Creating possibilities is a life of choice

We have a choice to be happy or sad
Despite the economy’s ups and downs

Celebrating ourselves, our loved ones, the world and the people in it
Making all of it wrong and resist it all for the price of being right

Yes, there is a choice every moment, every hour , every day
To you who’s reading this poem, which one will you choose today?
